Kamusta naman

"Kamusta naman..." is it a question or an expression? Where did it come from? How did it become popular? Why do Filipinos say it at as often as they put exclamation point in their sentences. It is interesting how people spread it like the phenomenal dance craze and song "boom tarat tarat". Its like an echo in the cave. Every house in our community plays the song in full volume and dance with feelings and all energy. To think that "boom tarat tarat" barely has meaning and more so a connection to Christmas.


Back to the expression, "kamusta naman..." is commonly used when giving a comment to something like: "Nakuha kong exchange gift chocolate e diabetic ako. Kamusta naman." or "Kamusta naman. Nakita ko ang ex ko sa parlor." The line can be equivalent to the expression "ano ba" or "nakakaloka" or any expression that a person may connect to her/his sentence to put stress or merely say more.


People. We really keep on inventing and reinventing. Go ahead and say more but don't forget that what you say speaks of what inside you. 


Tanong: kaya kamusta naman ang pagbblog? Sagot: "wala lang" masaya e! hehehehe...

Don't miss it

Whenever I travel by plane, I would often miss looking at the beautiful cottony clouds by the window. This morning I read of a different cloud I should never miss watching. I just finished reading the book of Exodus and this last chapter helped me understand and believe more of God's faithfulness to His people as I think of uncertainties in 2012. Borrowed Time

The loss of a loved one is one of the most painful seasons anyone can ever experience in life--one of the hardest times to go through.  Since Friday last week, I've seen how one dearly-loved person passing away, turns a family, relatives and friends to sudden gloom and sadness. The pain so enveloped everyone, as one family member said, "masakit... hindi ma-explain".  The few days of wake ushered everyone to weep with those who weep.
