Paano Ko Sasabihin?

I remember my blog about conversation with one of our pastors in church. Paano mo nga ba sasabihin...how do you say no to an invitation from a guy you don't feel like going out with? A friend jokingly suggested: sabihin mo hindi ako pwede forever!!! True. But you can't say that outright diba?   I thought... Una, give him a chance (I'm talking about single adults here and to a believer only) Pangalawa, kung hindi mo kaya yung #1, e di huwag. Pangatlo, if you gave him a chance at hindi mo kaya talaga, good! Say thank you and goodbye. Pang-apat, if you gave him a chance at mukhang okay, carry on. So, how to say no? The only rule is love.  Say it gently and with respect to a brother-in-Christ. Whatever we do, do it all for the glory of God. Yes, even in saying no. We, women, need all the grace from God to do this. Now, paano ko nasabi na 'busy ako forever?' PM me, I will tell you. :)

Anong reaksyon mo? Iniyak mo na ba? Okay lang yan. You'll feel better but not completely. Matutulog ka na dapat tapos magbabalik sa isip mo yung moment na sinabi ng close friend mo na m

I see the moon by Chris Rice

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30yQDf4aNOk Are you like me? I often praise God for the moon. I'm amazed how its so beautiful to gaze specially when its full. It's so artistic and unique every time either on a clear night sky or slightly hiding from clouds. My wish is that one of these days when I go to the beach, I'd catch a good timing that its a full moon and I would just lay down on the sand and behold the moon surrounded by twinkling stars. That'd be awesome Lord. :) I stumbled on one song about the moon by Chris Rice and find it sweet and fitting for a moon lover like me. I dedicate this to someone or anyone I'd miss whenever I look at the moon. "I see the moon, the moon sees me The moon sees somebody I want to see So, God bless the moon and God bless me And God bless the 'Somebody' I want to see"

Another place to visit in Sikatuna...Handuraw Pizza

The whole stretch of Maginhawa Street in Sikatuna, Quezon City is popular among food trippers. Being a resident within the area, I am easily enticed to try one by one these restaurants.offering various kinds of food from burger. barbecue. filipino and pasta. Honestly, there are so many choices that I've only tried a few and happen to frequent in one at Cafe Quezon hehe. Anyway, I have a new discovery. There's this one pizza place that I've been visiting, its Handuraw Pizza, located at the back of Savemore near Ice Cream House. My friend is one of the co-owners of this franchise store from Cebu and Davao. The location, ambiance and the food (try their specialty Handuraw thin crust pizza) are just basic reasons to go back again and again. If you want a cool place to hang out or just eat good pizza (at a reasonable price) and use free wifi, visit Handuraw Sikatuna. :)    http://www.handurawpizza.com/

First Day

After about 5 and 1/2 years in Nielsen, I am counting anew. I am excited to the next chapter of my life, to where God will put me next. So how's your first day?, asked Mark, one of my colleagues in Nielsen. I answered him briefly that so far good but I'm blogging to record it and have something to look back one day. May 31st, day 1 of my "independence", I chose to pause a bit after my busy turn-over weeks. I'll do my own Lazy Song' "Coz today I'm not doing anything" planned...No plans how to spend the day but I thought of doing something worthwhile.  So here's how I spent my day 1 and its quite full but fun.  In the morning after I had my quiet time (its a special time to meditate on God's word and pray), I went out to do some family errands. I went to the bank and have our laptop delivered to repair shop. On my way home, I tried for the first time the almond flavor of Magnum. In my first bite, I was grinning with a bubble th

Wedding and Reunion

Jason and Cathy G. just got married and the energetic Energyfm peeps (and the ex-energy) came to witness the special day. Best wishes mga Pangga!

I witnessed a wedding proposal...

Eigen sung to Tal and then on his knees said the heartfelt question "will you marry me?". She answered with a song of Colby Caillat "I Do". One sweet moment from the Lord to have two people love each other and honor God in every step.

Sama-Sama sa Samal Island

My First Indonesia Trip

No ulam, only krupuk. Indonesians love eating crunchy side dish. It tastes like fish cracker but less salty. It was a great blessing to travel for the first time in Indonesia with Salyn, Bulahan and Koswardi family (my churchmates). I did not bring DSLR this time instead I only used my ever faithful Blackberry phone to take some pictures of people, places and things remarkable in this trip. Most of the photos are taken in Bandung, a place west side of Jakarta where we visited the family of our Indonesian churchmate Kuya Deni and of course side trip to shopping outlets and enjoy their hot! hot! food offers. Bandung is known for its branded shopping outlets like Zara, Forever21, M&S and Guess. I didn't shop a lot but I took many pictures haha. Though we only stayed for few days and saw limited places in Jakarta and in Bandung, I'd say that Indonesia is no different from Manila in terms of weather, scenery and food (except for too much chili and no pork in the menu). If ever I

Why give thanks to God?

Why Give Thanks to God? or Why never doubt His love? I read Psalm 136 and listed reasons given by the psalmist. This helped me pray with a thankful heart. Hope it will lead you too. 1. He is good 2. He is the God of gods/Lord or lords 3. He is the ONLY who does great wonders a. Created heaven and earth 4. He who punished Egypt and saved Israel b. and everything in it (lights, day, moon and stars) a. Struck down firstborn of Egypt b. Exodus of Israel c. All the miracles in between (parting of the red sea) 5. He who led Israel in their battles and gave them victory a. Struck down great kings and killed them a.1 Amorites a.2 Og king of Bashan b. And those Kings surrendered their inheritance to Israel their servants 6. He who remembered Israel a. In their low estate b. freed from enemies c. provided for all creature 7. He is the God of heaven (and His love endures forever) This photo was taken in Dubai Mall. The Lord cares for all the creatures, much more His

Don't miss it

Whenever I travel by plane, I would often miss looking at the beautiful cottony clouds by the window. This morning I read of a different cloud I should never miss watching. I just finished reading the book of Exodus and this last chapter helped me understand and believe more of God's faithfulness to His people as I think of uncertainties in 2012. The last verses of Exodus 40 are like sweet reminders to me. I can't help but praise God because His ways are sure and I just have to trust in Him. 34  Then  the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and  the glory of the  Lord  filled the tabernacle.   35  And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled on it, and the glory of the Lord  filled the tabernacle.   36  Throughout all their journeys,  whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out.   37  But  if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out till the day that it was taken up.   38  For the
