Kapag 30 ka na...

Nuong teenager ako, ang tingin ko sa mga 30something ang tanda-tanda na nila. Dapat may asawa na sila. Dapat marami na silang narating sa buhay. I thought these people must have gone through a lot of experiences and they are the wisest. Tipong alam na nila ang gagawin nila in any given situation. They are the Ate's and the Kuya's. Yung mga 40 pataas, ah institusyon na ang tingin ko sa mga 'yun.

Iba pala kapag 30 ka na…

When I reached 30, (yezz I'm actually mid-30s now) hindi ko naisip na matanda na ako. Lalong wala sa isip ko na mag-asawa na. Hindi ko din masabi kung madami na akong narating sa buhay (but I am grateful to God for what He have blessed me so far)at higit sa lahat kung ako ba yung matatawag na wisest. I don't always know exactly what to do in any given situation. Nalilito pa nga ako minsan kung magta-taxi, bus or mrt.

Sa mga kabataan, if you are like me then, maybe what I gained from thinking highly of those older than me was imitating their good examples. I saw how mature people would handle given responsibilities. I remember Youth Camps with older women handling our small group. More than looking at their cute wrinkles, I liked that they know when to joke around and be serious. I also admired that these wonderful adults have given their time with young women such as us, who were mostly uninteresting until Christ worked in our hearts to respond to the truth of the Gospel. They invested time with us to teach us and try to influence us to godliness.

O kabaligtaran, ageless ka (ikaw na!) baby face, strong, mighty meaty and the CEO or COO of the company…

Think of this:
2 Cor. 4:16 says, "So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day."
Romans 14:12 says, "...each one of us will give an account of himself to God"

Young, middle age or mature, life is more than age. Life is about counting it to the glory of our God who created us.

Covid19 and Jesus

A friend shared two links to me this morning. Both are about thoughts about Covid19 from known Christian leaders. See links below: https://www.desiringgod.org/interviews/how-do-we-make-sense-of-the-coronavirus https://albertmohler.com/2020/02/27/briefing-2-27-20 John Piper and Albert Mohler shared what I have been thinking about these past weeks, to understand God's will over the global spread of the virus. In my head, is this part of God's wrath in the end times? I am trying to recall, is there a prophecy that God will inflict many of disease so they would repent?  I can try looking up for bible verses but listening to the two links, I realized two key messages: Believe in God Life is like a vapor   Point 1: Believe in God In times of trouble our minds is the constant target of Satan to sow fear and doubts. Hearing this reminder is encouraging me to keep a mind that trusts in Jesus:    Piper said "Jesus has all knowledge and all authority ov...
